Preston's Service

Thank you allf or your kinds words and prayers. James and I are so appreciative.  Preston was so lucky to have so many people supporting him as we are as well.  We miss him so much. 

We have made arrangements.   On Friday, May 25th, there will be a viewing at 10am, Mass at noon, with a reception to follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Durham, NC. 

While making arrangements this morning, it was mentioned that next weekend was Memorial Day weekend.  James pointed out something interesting about this.  Preston was born on September 3, 2007; Labor Day.  Our son was born on Labor Day and here we are 4 short years later having to say our goodbyes on Memorial Day weekend. 

Preston, we love you so much!   You're the best!  

We will post more when we have more information.

I lost my 2 year old grandson to brain cancer 3 years ago. I know how difficult it is to let them go, but I take comfort in knowing that these special angels are in heaven. You have my deepest sympathy for your loss and I will remember your family in my prayers.

My heart and prayers are with you all during this difficult time and the loss of your precious little boy. No words anyone can say right can truly bring you comfort, only God and His word can. Trust in Him and rely on your faith. He had a special purpose for Preston, and once he'd fulfilled God's plan it was time for him to go home to God and be pain free. I know he was so young, and it can be so difficult to understand why this had to happen to him, but you just have to believe in God's plan. I didn't even know Preston, and I know he was a truly amazing little boy, full of life, and his story has already touched the hearts of so many people.

I too was a very sick with a rare disease as a child. For the longest time doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with me and told my parents they didn't know how long I would live. By the grace of God and a miracle from Him, I was healed. I am now 21 years old, and I know God has some purpose for me in this life I have not fulfilled it yet. I am so thankful for every day I have, and I try everyday to live my life the absolute best I can to glorify and honor Him in everything that I do. I know God has called Preston back much sooner that you wanted, but he will always be with you and watching over you. And he will be waiting with open arms the day God calls you home as well.

I live near Tampa, FL, and I was at D1 the day Preston was able to meet Tim Tebow. I can only imagine how much it meant to him to have the opportunity to meet his hero, and I'm sure Tim felt truly honored to have the privilege of meeting Preston. I'm so glad he was able to have that very special day to make him smile and happy. Tim is an amazing young man, but he was really the blessed one that day to have the opportunity to meet YOUR strong little boy.

Preston's story will forever touch the lives of so many people. Stay strong, you have so many people praying for you. God Bless.

I may have unsubscribed by mistake. My sympathies to you both and your family on the loss of Preston. He was a little ray of sunshine who came to bless your lives. Although he was here but a short time, he managed to capture the love of so many who never met him. Not manmy of us can say that. Thank you for sharing your journey with so many!!! God bless you all and help you through this most difficult time!!!

I read an article about your son Preston last March and started praying for him and you his family. I am very saddened to hear of his death. He is in the arms of Jesus. I will continue to pray for you as God comforts and sustains you in the days and weeks ahead. I have a grown son with Chronic Lymphocytic leukemia, a disease usually old people get. We don't understand it all but have trust God as He allows these things into our life. God Bless you and your family.
